You have an incredible scene going on in your barn! It is such a great community and you have a unique and interesting format, including poets, visual artists and musicians, which your audience obviously loves, because they keep coming back. The informality is really refreshing, breaking down the usual barriers between artists and audience, and getting a friendly dialogue going. I love the fact your focus is on original music. Julie, I love your songs and your voice, and I meant it when I said we'd be happy to accompany you any time, because you music is really special and sophisticated while being straight from the heart. I hope you want to have us back because we would be really happy to hang with you guys again! All the best.

I feel like DreamFarm is a little gem tucked away in the charming New Hampshire town.  Each time I go there, I know I will be surrounded by the tings that make me the happiest: top notch jazz, great art, interesting and diverse people and great conversations. Until you go and experience how unique and special this place is, you aremissing out on something wonderful.....

For me personally, the experience of the gathering around a buffet tale in the loft, meeting new and old friends, learning about art and artists, listening to fabulous music by talented regional musicians and the knowledge that we are honored guests in a family's home, evokes childhood memories of holiday festivities oganized by the parents in my neighborhood.

There is an intimacy within the space, delicately balanced with seating and stage lights and the silent observer of camera and radio engineer, under ladders and repaper lanterns ...this is a place that beckons us to return many times.

Hush in the candlelight as the piano lights up... Julie's dreamy voice caressing the microphone... shared glandes exchanged, silently saying. "I told you it was THIS good."

The DreamFarm Café is truly a dream come true! Imagine an amazing old barn, totally and lovingly restored, set up with tables, candles and comfy chairs, a grand piano, lights and a Jazz trio or quartet and Julie Lavender the host and superlative Jazz stylist! All this on a country road in New Hampshire, a Jazz concert in an assortment of styles that takes place once a month to warm our hearts and lift our souls! Added to the music is the work of a different local artist or sculptor each month, displayed on the walls of this inviting antique environment. Neighbors are invited to share in the home made goodies and drinks before the concert and enjoy the music and art in the midst of this welcoming atmosphere.

What a treat and a gift for us all. Thank you!!!

The DreamFarm is a place where people can come together and enjoy life’s beautiful gifts like music and art. The music and art has meaning. It is the antithesis of corporate dominance. The DreamFarm spawns creativity and provides an outlet for original art and music. There is a special kind of energy at the DreamFarm. It is an artist and performer’s paradise!

Displaying my oil paintings at the DreamFarm Café was a unique experience. Not only was the evening about enjoying the work of the participating artist, but educational as well. It enabled me to discuss my work on an intimate level with an interested audience. Each artist is encouraged to speak to the group in attendance and a wonderful interaction ensues. The DreamFarm Café experience offers a diverse selection of art and music that I have not experienced before and I now save the first Sunday of the month on my calendar!

I love the way DreamFarm Café gives us opportunities to learn directly from the musicians and artists and from other guests. The idea of incorporating education into these concerts reflects Julie's and Mark's approach to life - with curiosity, a zest for learning and respect for art in many forms.

DreamFarm Café is a truly unique venue—a place where musicians and artists can share their work and discuss it.  That's what I really love about it.  The guests are attentive, interested, and curious to experience that art and music on a deeper level. As a performer, it's a pleasure to provide personal insight into my music and I am sure the artists feel the same way.

The environment of the DreamFarm reminds me of the slogan "Think Globally, Act Locally". When a family opens its doors to allow their neighbors the chance to interact with artists, poets, and musicians it sends a positive message that can have a far reaching impact. There is also an opportunity here to transform an artistic intent into a tangible delight! Having said that I would be remiss in not mentioning anything about the cakes and deserts at intermission…some attend just for that and I believe all these things go hand in hand (or mouth).

Showing my work at the DreamFarm Café was quite the enjoyable experience for me. I found the assembled crowd of people to be interested in music, art, and culture in general. When Julie introduced me to the audience I felt comfortable talking about my paintings and how I work. It was a pleasure answering the questions that arose, since I love what I do and talking about it. My husband and I very much enjoyed the Jazz band that evening and talking to them too. Overall, it was a lovely evening out!

A few months ago I was inited to display my work at the DreamFarm Cafe. I found it to be a very pleasant experience. The audience was very responsive and entusiastic and I made some very
interesting contacts. I enjoyed the music, the food and the atmosphere! Congratulations!
